After the focus and anticipation of their departure for deep space according to the ancient coordinates, the S.S.Manzarek and crew are faced with the reality of their journey. Loneliness, creeping paranoia and technical malfunctions start to take their toll on the once optimistic crew. They have been travelling for 11 months.
They make it through The Oiler black hole seemingly unscathed only to find - with two more black holes yet to traverse - that the ship’s navigation aid has been damaged and a large crack has appeared in the hull. Navigation and M4R14N’s computer systems are damaged. To continue without them is impossible.
It is decided that landing on the planet Vintago is the best option for exacting repairs.

They land on the quiet, desolate surface. Little is left of the the original settlement camps. Ravaged by asteroid strikes and the unusually strong electromagnetic fields surrounding Vintago there is little to offer them save a place to land. Jack Collins (18 year old science prodigy and descendant of Michael) and Scarlett set to work on the repairs. M4R14N is restarted and the recoding begins. Cuthbert sets out to assess the hull of the ship. However, upon exiting the Manzarek Cuthbert experiences a sense of bitter fear. White noise and static fill his head. Thick white fog saturates his vision. The atmosphere like a python begins to squeeze his body. He collapses. His vital signs fading. The ship begins to darken as the fog surrounds them and the thunderous static deafens ...

Is this the end for the crew?
